Hi, I’m Rashika — Founder of RB SkillSource. Like many others, I took the ‘usual’ route: biology in 12th, then Civil Engineering in college, finally pursed MBA. But even during my BE days, I knew my passion lay elsewhere ,then I realized that my true calling wasn’t in construction, but in building careers.. I had a vision for recruitment long before I formally stepped into it.

People used to joke about my path — saying I’d end up in a Swiggy t-shirt, a Blinkit bag on my back, or delivering Amazon parcels. But today, those very companies are our clients. Life has a way of coming full circle when you stay true to your purpose.

While pursing my MBA, I began as an HR intern — and that’s where I met Deepak, who was then a team lead in recruitment. We connected instantly, and over time, our professional bond turned into a strong friendship — more like family. We later worked together in a recruitment startup, learning the ins and outs of the industry hands-on.

We crossed paths as colleagues, connected as friends, and eventually teamed up with a shared dream: to build something of our own. After working at a recruitment startup and soaking in real, hands-on experience, we knew it was time to create a platform that not only connects talent to opportunity but also grows with heart.

That’s how RB SkillSource was born—founded on trust, fueled by passion, and built like a family. Today, Deepak and I lead this journey not just as partners, but as a team that believes in growing together and uplifting others along the way.

What Was The Driving Force For You To Start Your Business?

The real spark came when Deepak and I ,arguing one day and questioning each other that “We’re giving our 100%, but getting back not even 25% of what we’re worth.” That hit us hard. We knew we had more to offer ,not just for ourselves, but for others too.

What truly drives us is seeing people happy. And for most young people, that happiness begins with one thing , a job that feels like a dream. It’s where confidence starts, where ambition takes shape. We thought: What if we could be the bridge between talent and that dream?

That question turned into a mission. It’s not just about recruitment for us — it’s about creating impact, opening doors, and watching people rise. That’s the force that drives us every single day.

What Is The Most Challenging Aspect Of Your Business?

One of the most challenging parts has been building trust with large MNCs. As a startup, it’s not easy to get your foot in the door. Many companies hesitate to partner with a new players, no matter how capable you are. We’ve faced rejections, ghosting, and long silences after promising conversations.

Connecting with MNCs, getting them to believe in our delivery, and proving that we can match and even exceed expectations has been tough. But we see every “no” as a step closer to a “yes.” Over time, we’ve built strong networks, earned trust through results, and turned some of those early rejections into long-term partnerships.

It’s challenging, yes, but it’s also what makes every breakthrough so meaningful.

What Was The Most Pivotal Accident, Or Unexpected Discovery You Made Towards Your Success?

One of the most unexpected and pivotal moments in my journey was meeting Deepak during my HR internship. At the time, I was just exploring the field, and he was working as a team lead in recruitment. Neither of us imagined that a simple working relationship would evolve into such a strong partnership.

Another major discovery was realizing how much people truly crave guidance when it comes to their careers, especially freshers and job seekers. We initially thought recruitment was just about filling roles, but we soon saw how deeply it can impact someone’s life. Helping someone land their dream job isn’t just business — it’s emotional, it’s meaningful.

That shift in mindset turned out to be a game-changer for us. It gave our work purpose, and that purpose became the foundation of RB SkillSource.

Every Success Story Has A Failure Story Hidden In It. We Would Like To Know Your Hidden Story?

That’s absolutely true ,every success story has a hidden struggle behind it, and ours is no different.

In the early days of building RB SkillSource, we faced challenges on every front. Professionally, one of the toughest parts was client rejections. We’d spend hours preparing, pitching, and following up, only to be told “no” or, worse, be completely ghosted. As a new company, it was hard to get MNCs to trust us, and that took a toll.

On the hiring side, building a team from scratch was another battle. Finding the right people, training them, and managing expectations was mentally exhausting. When things didn’t go as planned, it hit us hard emotionally, especially because we were still trying to prove ourselves.

And personally, the doubts from family were painful. Coming from a traditional background, where stability is everything, choosing to build something of our own wasn’t always met with support. People questioned our decisions and often compared us to our peers in conventional jobs.

But all of that the rejections, the pressure, the doubts became our strength. We chose to see it as part of the journey, not the end of it. And today, those tough times are the reason we stand stronger, more grounded, and even more committed to the mission we started with.

Your Suggestion To The Startup Companies And Entrepreneurs?

My suggestion to startups and entrepreneurs is to lead with passion. Passion fuels perseverance when things get tough. Alongside that, building a strong team that shares the same vision and goals is crucial.

Having a clear vision for growth helps keep everyone aligned and motivated. When your team believes in the mission as much as you do, challenges become opportunities, and the journey becomes a shared adventure.

So focus on passion, nurture your team, and keep your vision clear and that’s the foundation for lasting success.

What Is Success According To You?

To me, success isn’t just about titles or money. It’s about job satisfaction, truly enjoying what you do every day. It’s about life fulfillment, feeling content and balanced in all areas of life, not just work.

Ultimately, success means living life to the fullest, embracing growth, happiness, and purpose in everything you do.

Who/What Is Your Greatest Inspiration And Why?

My greatest inspiration is my father. He began his life as a farmer, working tirelessly on the land. Over time, he transitioned into a broker for traders, learning the ropes and building connections. Today, he is a successful fruit trader across India.

His journey from humble beginnings to achieving success through sheer hard work and determination teaches me the true meaning of perseverance. It reminds me that with dedication and resilience, anything is possible and that inspires me every day to keep pushing forward.

What Is Your Leadership Mantra?

My leadership mantra centers around team satisfaction and employee well-being. I believe that when the team feels valued, supported, and happy, they bring their best selves to work. Taking care of people is not just good ethics, it is the foundation for true success and growth.

The inspiration behind building RB SkillSource came from recognizing a gap in how talent and opportunities connect in today’s job market. We saw many talented individuals struggling to find the right roles, while businesses faced challenges in finding skilled, reliable candidates quickly and efficiently.

Our own journey in recruitment showed us how important it is to have a partner who understands both sides — the needs of the employer and the aspirations of the candidate. We wanted to create a service that goes beyond just filling positions, to truly empower people and companies to grow together.

What Is Your Life Mantra?

My life mantra is all about manifesting what I truly need, staying consistent in my efforts, and fueling everything I do with passion. I believe when you combine clear intentions with steady action and genuine enthusiasm, success and fulfillment naturally follow.

What Was The Most Challenging Part Of Your Journey Till Now?

The most challenging part of my journey was leaving a stable job to start something of my own. It wasn’t just a career shift — it meant stepping into uncertainty, which made gaining my family’s trust and support even tougher. Overcoming their doubts and proving that this was the right path was a big hurdle, but it taught me resilience and strengthened my determination.

How Do You Protect Yourself From The Problem Of Brain Drain?

To prevent brain drain, we focus on creating a positive and supportive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated. We invest in their growth through training and career development opportunities, so they see a future with us. Open communication, recognizing achievements, and building a strong team culture also help keep talent engaged and committed. When people feel connected and see room to grow, they’re more likely to stay and grow with the company.

According To You, What Are The Three Qualities An Individual Must Have To Achieve Success?

In my opinion, the three key qualities for success are passion, consistency, and resilience. Passion fuels your drive and keeps you motivated. Consistency ensures you keep putting in the effort day after day. And resilience helps you bounce back from setbacks and keep moving forward no matter what.

Which Online Tools/ Services/ Apps Do You Use The Most And Would Like To Recommend As Well?

One of the most valuable tools I use daily is LinkedIn. It’s not just a platform for networking, but also a great resource for finding talent, staying updated on industry trends, and building professional relationships. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to grow their career or business.

One habit that really boosts my productivity is planning and scheduling my day the night before. It helps me start the day focused, prioritize important tasks, and avoid wasting time deciding what to do next. Having a clear roadmap and schedule keeps me on track and helps me get more done.

Share Any One Habit Which You Wish To Change In Yourself.

One habit I wish to change is overthinking. Sometimes I spend too much time analyzing situations instead of taking quick action. I’m working on being more decisive and trusting my instincts to move forward faster.

What Are Your Top Three Getaway Destinations?

My top three getaway destinations are the beautiful Maldives for its crystal-clear waters and relaxation, my native place Kollanur( a small village in Tiruvallur district) for the comfort of home and memories, and beaches in general because I love the calm and peace they bring.

What was your key driving force to become an Entrepreneur?

The key driving force was the desire to create something meaningful and the realization that working for someone else limited our growth. My co-founder Deepak and I saw the impact we could make in people’s lives, especially helping them land their dream jobs, and that passion became our purpose. We wanted freedom, fulfillment, and the ability to grow with our own values, and that’s what pushed us to build RB SkillSource.

What motivates you?

What motivates me the most is my co-founder Deepak, whose constant drive and support push me to keep going. Along with that, the thought of the future, the dreams we’re chasing, the impact we want to create, and the people we want to uplift, keeps me focused and driven every single day.

How do you define success?

Success has no final destination — it’s a continuous journey.
For me, success is about how we overcome challenges, adapt to situations, and keep moving forward. Every obstacle we face and rise above adds to our growth, and that’s what real success looks like.

What piece of advice would you give to college graduates who want to become entrepreneurs?

My advice would be to follow your passion but stay patient and persistent. Entrepreneurship is a journey full of learning, challenges, and growth. Build a strong team around you, keep your vision clear, and don’t be afraid to take calculated risks. Most importantly, learn from failures and keep moving forward, success comes to those who never give up.

What do you consider to be your favorite part of being a business owner?

My favorite part of being a business owner is the freedom to create and shape something meaningful with my own vision. I love the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives ,whether it’s helping someone find their dream job or building a team that feels like family. Seeing the impact of our work and growing together with my co-founder Deepak is truly rewarding.

How do you see your business growing in the future?

I see RB SkillSource growing into a Pan-India corporate familiar name, trusted by businesses across the country. Our goal is to build strong relationships with top companies nationwide, expanding our reach while maintaining quality and personalized service. This growth will help us create a larger impact by connecting the best talent with the right opportunities everywhere.

What things about your business would you never compromise on?

One thing I would never compromise on is trust. It’s the foundation of everything we do , whether it’s with clients, candidates, or our team. Building long-term relationships and delivering with honesty and reliability is what defines our identity at RB SkillSource.
